The Public Relations Office gladly informs all members of Strength in Disability (SID) about the change of our website's domain name.

The change was necessary to represent SID's new status as an organization based in KNUST.

What the SID logo depicts

The SID logo The elements of the logo are basically in the colours of the flag of Ghana. Red which stands for blood means once disabled persons have life in them, they are capable of anything. Yellow  shows that PLWDs, like everyone else, have talents and abilities which can add to societal development. Green means they can be fruitful when included in societal affairs. Black means they are also a source of hope and emancipation to society. Blue is commonly used for symbols portraying disability. Additionally, the wheel chair symbol, better know as the 'icon for access,' in the logo is inclined depicting motion, implying that though they are disabled, they are able.

School Outreach Program in the First Semester of 2019/2020 AY

PC: SID Media The main focus of the School Outreach program by Strength in Disability Organisation (SID) was to promote inclusive education by addressing challenging disability issues which will cause basic and secondary school students and teachers to appreciate persons with disabilities and assist them participate fully in all educative activities. In the first semester of the 2019/2020 academic year, our outreach targeted four basic schools: African Faith School, Amazing Grace Preparatory, Kotei R/C JHS and Deduako M/A JHS, all of which are located in thew metropolitan area of Kumasi, Ashanti Region, Ghana.
